On November 2nd, Mr. Clauss, the German ambassador to China and his delegation visited our school, accompanied by leaders from the Foreign Affairs Overseas Chinese Affairs and Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Gansu Provincial People’s Government and relevant departments of the Education Department of Gansu Province, as well as Doctor Zhang, alumnus of our school, who is called “the first Chinese to fly around the world” and others. The principal of our school, Jia Jinyuan and vice principals Gou Xiaofeng and Jing Xiaomin accompanied Mr. Clauss and his delegation throughout the whole journey.
Principal Jia extended his warm welcome to Mr. Clauss and his delegation and introduced the history, achievements and international education of our school to the visitors. Mr. Clauss expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the gracious reception and hospitality given by the High School Attached to NWNU, hoping that this visiting opportunity can be taken to set up more platforms for interaction and cooperation as well as to improve the cultural exchanges among teenage students between China and Germany.
