LANZHOU, Nov 4 (The High School Attached to NWNU) - Student Affairs Office and Grade 2019 organised a series of activities ‘Hiking along the Yellow River and Visiting Lanzhou Botanical Garden’ for juniors of special classes, enriching campus cultural life and nurturing humanistic feelings of students on the afternoon of November 3rd.
At 1: 30 p.m., on November 3rd, special classes of Grade 2019 started to hike and visit. After the gathering of 3 classes, students walked from the school to the Garden. The autumn sky is fresh and the water of Yellow River is swift. Along the River, there are red and yellow leaves. With high aspiration, students gathered in crowds and groups and got to the destination tirelessly. They quickly crossed the road abiding by the order and went on, showing good discipline and cultivated manners. On the road, they laughed, talked and singed.
At 4: 30 p.m., students began to arrive at the Garden after more than two-hour walk. Autumn came and the scenery was the best in the Garden. The sky is high; the clouds are pale. Birds prepared for the coming winter. Students were impressed by yellow ginkgo leaves, red maple leaves, colourful blooming chrysanthemums, red honeysuckle fruits , yellow and brown grass, and so on. They departed and visited the Garden in search of autumn. Some students took photos of beauty of the scenery and lake. Like a treasure hunt, some of them selected, picked up and put leaves in the books, wanting to stuff them. Some looked for the lucky plant among them, read the signboards carefully and understood the nature. Time went away and they have stayed for an hour. They ended up with tiredness and pleasure at 5:30 p.m..
This time students appreciated the magnificent Yellow River and beautiful Lanzhou, enjoyed walking and built up their willpower. They gathered together, feeling relaxing regardless of bleak autumn. Physical and psychological adjustment in the nature added new lights to their school life.
Autumn isn’t lonely but stylish at its best. Although it is chilly in the late autumn, trees are still tall and straight and not shiver. Regardless of the quiet and lonely winter, isn’t autumn the busiest season? Students go to the distance, go through seasons of change, think about the life in depth, return to the true self and meet with the best self in the most beautiful autumn.
