From 24th to 28th February, 2015, Yan Zihua, a senior one student from No.4 international class of the High School Attached to NWNU, together with another six team members from Lanzhou Jiaotong University Oriental Middle School, attended the 2015 Smart Innovation Conference. The Smart Innovation Conference, short for Mind Tomorrow, is a kind of practical education activity for training high school students’ science and technology quality which is organized by Chinese Institute of Electronics and presented by Excellence & Achievement Group, aiming at enhancing the domestic high school students’ understanding of informationization and application of hot technologies in the smart innovation field so as to guide them to focus on the development of science and technology. Besides, the students are encouraged to find problems and solve them by their creative ideas so that their information-based ability and innovative quality can be improved.
On 26th February, the students began to take tools racing and choose milestones and achieved outstanding results after having communications and receiving guidance from DIMI Innovation Symposium on 25th February. When the product launch ended on 27th Feb, the Wok of the team was named Milestone Award. Through participating in such kind of activity, the students’ overall quality and teamwork spirit have been improved a lot.
