Leaders of the High School Attached to Northwest Normal University attended the 7th annual conference of National Cooperative of high schools affiliated to normal Universities in China

On July 6th, the 7th annual conference of National Cooperative of high schools affiliated to normal Universities in China was held in No.2 High School of East China Normal University. Jia Jinyuan, principal of the High School Attached to Northwest Normal University, and Zhou Aizu, Deputy Secretary of school’s Party Committee attended the meeting.
The subject of the annual conference is “Educate generations for the Communist Party of China and nurture talents for our nations--Cultivating aspiring and promising youth of the new era”. The meeting focused on how education should adhere to and serve the overall work of the Party and the state, targeted to the reform in the key educational parts and major fields, explored the specific methods to integrate virtues with educations of ideology and morality, culture and knowledge, and social practice, and promoted the implementation of overall educational mechanism among the members of the cooperation.
At the meeting, Mr. Jia shared his opinions from the perspective of the investigation and exploration to act on the “Five Aspects of Education”, respectively military national education, utilitarian education, civic moral education, world outlook education, and aesthetic education as well as cultivating the outstanding talents for the Party and state.
Based on the strengthen of the Party, he communicated with other members and discussed the following issues, such as what we should do to take moral education as the foundation and be committed to and serve the all-round work scheme of the Party and state under the background of new era, new situation and especially the educational reform of new curriculum, new textbook and new examination. In addition, they also paid more attention to the three fundamental issues of “who to cultivate, how to cultivate and for whom to cultivate”, exploring the strategies and measures of the reform to comprehensively improve the quality of school education with the basic path of “cultivating people through virtue and integrating five elements of education, respectively virtue, intelligence, physical conditions, mind status and community service.”

During the meeting, the representatives of the member schools also visited Shanghai Tech University, and had an in-depth understanding of its school-running characteristics, training mode and educational achievements.
