Wang Qi from the High School Attached to NWNU entered the Harvard Summit for Young Leaders in China 2015 organized by HAUSCR and participated in the summit in August 2015.
The Harvard College Association for USChina Relations (HAUSCR) is a studentrun organization committed to bridging the gap between the United States and China through a series of programs. Harvard Summit for Young Leaders in China is one of the best programs of HAUSCR in which hundreds of excellent professors, scholars, students and leaders from business, political and academic circles will be invited aiming at providing excellent Chinese students with the first-level educational resources.
The students chosen by Harvard Summit for Young Leaders in China are not those who are good at their study in school. In accordance with the standard of Harvard University for enrolling its students, students with great potential and paying attention to comprehensive development are often chosen so that the most new ideas will be sparked off between the students and the teachers.
During the nineday summit, the Chinese students experienced the educational tradition and spirit of the firstclass university in the world through a series of learning and practical programs in an environment where all people speak English all the time. After the summit, Wang Qi said: “ for me, Harvard Summit for Young Leaders in China is more like an exchange of future and feeling than an academic exchange. The students smile to each other and SL and TA talk to us kindly and patiently. We encourage each other and SL and TA seem to bring us the most bright future dream.
