In order to help our staffs improve their abilities in foreign language learning and enhance their working capacities, the international education service center has scheduled to hold English salons regularly in which our foreign teachers will be invited to take part. At present, the English salon has been organized twice, featured by richness in content and great enthusiasm and active interaction among participants. While promoting our staffs’ English proficiency, the salon activity intends to strengthen the cohesion of the team.
The first salon was held in the afternoon of Dec. 14th , 2015 at the Zhi Hantang Hall of the International Department. It is of great honor to have invited our foreign teacher Joon to attend the activity as our guest and the whole staff of the international department on the first floor also takes part in it. Joon shared his study experience and played guitar to the participants, whose excellent performance caused bursts of applause. Encouraged by Joon, all of the participants have a delighted discussion with Joon on relevant issues like the American education system. Active interactions filled in the hall.
The second opened in the afternoon of Dec. 21st , 2015 at the same place with our foreign teacher Neil as the guest. Neil likes traveling and delicious food so he shared his traveling photos and special food he has tasted at different places such as Africa and Japan. With great enthusiasm, he also introduced some knowledge related to foreign cultures and cuisines. His humorous words made the participants relaxed and caused great interest among them. The participants learned not only something about the cuisine in different places but different cultural customs in different countries.
