Principal Jia Jinyuan Participated in the Forum for Well-known Chinese-European High School Principals

      From Feb. 15, to 16, “Forum for Well-known Chinese-European High School Principals in 2016” was held at the headquarters of UNESCO in Paris. The forum was hosted by Commission of The People's Republic of China for UNESCO and organized by Beijing Shengtao Educational Development and Innovation Research Institute and Beijing 101 Middle School. Principal Jia Jinyuan was invited to the forum and made a keynote speech, sharing the experience of running a school and the ideas of high school educational reform.
\      Zhang Xiuqin, Permanent Representative with the Rank of Ambassador of China to UNESCO, Ma Yansheng, Education Counselor in the Chinese Embassy in London, Dhirendra Bhatnagar, Chairman of FMACU, Osttveit Svein, Educational Office Director of UNESCO, Tao Xiping, Member of National Consultative Commission for Education and Consultant of General National Inspection of Ministry of Education attended the ceremony of the forum. Hao Ping, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education and Director of Commission of the People's Republic of China for UNESCO participated in the forum and conveyed warm greetings to representatives of Chinese Delegation.

       The forum, a high-level educational exchange activity, was attended by twenty Chinese high school principals and twenty of their European counterparts with high academic level and practical experience. They had an in-depth exchange and discussion about “high school education in the future of globalization ”. The Chinese delegation was headed by Tao Xiping, Member of National Consultative Commission for Education, Consultant of General National Inspection of Ministry of Education and Honorary Chairman of World Federation of UNESCO Associationand assisted by Du Yue, Secretary-General of Commission of the People's Republic of China for UNESCO, Luo Jie, President of Beijing Education Institute and Wang Benzhong, Honorary Chairman of the High School Education Committee of the Chinese Society of Education. Members of the delegation included Jia Jinyuan, Principal of the High School Attached to NWNU, Wang Zheng, Principal of the Affiliated High School of Peking University, Guo Han, Principal of Being 101 Middle School and so on. The European delegation consisted of principals from LLG, Eton College, Schule Schloss Salem and so on.

       During the two-day forum, the following topics with international perspectives and Epochal Characteristics were discussed: “challenge of high school education: cultivating the spirit of innovation and ability of starting business” and “educational informatization and high school educational reform”. Principals of both sides fully demonstrated their practical and theoretical results in the above topics to promote mutual understanding, draw merits from each other and seek solutions to the problems and challenges facing both sides. The results achieved in the forum will be used in high school educational reform in China and Europe. Principal Jia Jinyuan delivered a keynote speech, sharing the experience of running a school from the aspects of diversified curriculum system, diversified development platform, career developing and designing, science and humanities, S+internet+education, high school running in the Background of Globalization, and putting forward his idea and suggestion on the common problems and outstanding problems in current high school education.
