One of Our Teachers Attended the Symposium on Sino-US Future Education Mode in Shanghai

      From April 8th to 11th, 2016, Shanghai witnessed the opening of the “Symposium on Sino-US Future Education Mode” hosted by OESIS (Online and Blended Education Symposium) of California, USA. More than 250 principals or teachers from well-known high schools all over the world such as USA, China and UK gathered in Shanghai, discussing the innovative education mode in the future under the concept of “Internet Plus” and Cloud Class. Zhang Zhitian, Director of International Education Service Center and Executive Vice-director of the International Department of our school also attended the symposium on behalf of our school.
      The schools attending the symposium are mainly some well-known high schools in America or China, including over 30 high schools of America like Phillips Academy Andover, St. Paul's School, Deerfield Academy and Choate Rosemary Hall as well as nearly hundreds of Chinese high schools  such as Beijing No.4 High School, the High School Attached to Tsinghua University, Shenzhen High School and the High School Attached to NWNU.

      During the meeting, CERNET Education Group, the Chinese cooperative organizer of OESIS 2016, together with OESIS, announced the establishment of America Asia K12 Exchange Association (AAKEA). Confronted with the need for exchanges of teaching resources and others among high schools both in America and China, the AAKEA aims at assisting American schools to develop the curriculum system expected by Chinese schools and at transporting Chinese courses related to Chinese and Asian history and culture to the corresponding schools in America at the same time through conference communications and exchange of visits so as to promote the sharing of excellent resources among American and Chinese high schools.

      Li Zhiming, Director of Science and Technology Development Center, Ministry of Education shared his own understanding about the five development stages of Internet on the closing ceremony, respectively interconnections of information, consumption, production, intellect and life. The function of knowledge dissemination played by school education will be replaced by Internet in the future forms of education.
