Ten teachers from the High School Attached to NWNU participating training and exchanging activities in the U.S.

Ten teachers including Yang Hanxiong, Xiao Juan, Xin, Wanxiang, Song Xiaohong, Wang Ying, Zhang Zhenghai, Hu Yaling, Xie Hui, Ding Yanfen and Wei Ziying, participated training and academic exchange activities for ten days or so in the American east coast, which would help to broaden their horizon and to explore a new way of educational reform for our school.
Overcoming the difficulties caused by snowstorm, they went to Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, New York and Washington and visited GEMS High School in Bloomfield CT., Bloomfield High School and Orono High School International. They learned about the teaching methods by attending some of the classes, visited the local committee of education to learn about the educational policies, curriculum arrangement and educational reforms. They also exchanged views and ideas with students and teachers from the school they visited about high school education, textbooks, education experience, AP teaching, ACT and SAT.
After having communicated and negotiated with the three high schools they were visiting, deputy director Yang Hanxiong, on behalf of the High School Attached to NWNU, signed agreements of mutual exchange of students and teachers with Orono High School International. Afterwards, they visited University of Massachusetts, Yale University and Bryant university and talked with Doctor Yang Hong, Vice President of Bryant university, John Eriksen, Director of the International Department, and Professor Liu Kongli to learn about the teaching conditions, features, policies of enrolling Chinese students, process of applying universities in the U.S. and so on. The two sides have also communicated issues about future co-operations.
