On Sep.12th, 2015, the Fourth Session of China High School Integrity Alliance was held in the Tsinghua University High School.
Wang Dianjun, Principal of Tsinghua University High School, addressed the meeting and pointed out the problems and challenges faced by overseas students from public high schools in the current situation. For example, some Chinese overseas students are forced to come back without finishing their study abroad because of fake transcripts. Common school education is lacking in the development of the students’ respectable personality and moral integrity. Some bad intermediaries intend to take advantage of the irresponsible conducts by some school departments, which indicates that schools should cherish their own reputation and brand value, coping with the long-term and short-term interests in a reasonable way. He also put forward how public schools deal with interference of other factors both in and out of school as well as how to establish their own Guidance Center for Education for public schools.


Six admission officials from American Princeton University, Duke University, University of Pennsylvania, Columbia University, Northwest University and Georgetown University introduced the enrollment procedures of American top universities respectively, focusing on the concept of “comprehensive assessment ” which penetrates in the entire procedure. Besides, they also shared how to set up a lively academic community for admission officials with the guidance of this concept in which the students can not only learn from professors but also from each other.

Representatives from Guidance Center for Education of Tsinghua International School and Guidance Center for Overseas Education of Beijing National Day School discussed the great significance and urgency of establishing Guidance Center for Overseas Education for public schools. Meanwhile, they also introduced their own schools’ experiences in establishing the Guidance Center to the participates.

Other issues have also been discussed on the meeting, including how the Chinese public schools work together with American universities to improve the Chinese students’ admission processes, the promotion of Integrity Alliance mechanism and how to establish a more unified and complete system for Chinese public schools to manage their transcripts and recommend letters as well as to provide education guidance so as to serve the students applying for overseas universities in a much better way.
