Principal Jia Attended 2015 Tsinghua University Forum for National Key Middle School Principals

From 11th Dec. to 12th Dec., 2015, the 2015 Tsinghua University Forum for National Key Middle School Principals has been held in the lecture hall of Architecture Building, Tsinghua University. Our principal Jia Jinyuan has been invited to attend the forum on behalf of our school.
On the meeting, Academician Qiu Yong, President of Tsinghua University gave welcoming remarks and extended his thanks to a number of high schools which have developed numbers of outstanding students for Tsinghua University over the years. Professor Yang Bin, Vice-president of Tsinghua University made a keynote report on Teaching Reforms in a “New” Tsinghua University. Yu Shijie, Director of Enrollment Office of Tsinghua University, introduced something about enrollment of Tsinghua University to the principals at present, especially some new measures which have been taken in order to better promote the autonomous enrollment and personnel development in the course of university enrollment against the new background of examination and enrollment system reforms.
In order to promote the autonomous enrollment and personnel development in the course of university enrollment in a better way under the new situation of examination and enrollment system reforms, Tsinghua University put forward the Advanced Placement System for Chinese Universities based on the MOOC platform, which is short for MOOCAP. The MOOCAP has been issued online officially and open to select courses since November 2015. Since 2017, the students’ study and evaluation results of MOOCAP will be included in the student’s comprehensive evaluation report, which will work as an important reference for the universities’ autonomous enrollment and the students’ recruitment after Gaokao.
Since March, 2014, nearly 64 high schools have been involved in the program pilots, including the High School Attached to NWNU, the High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China, Tsinghua University High School, Beijing No.4 High School, No.2 High School of East China Normal University, the High School Attached to Hunan Normal University, the High School Attached to Northeast Normal University, the Affiliated High School of SCNU, Hainan High School and the High School Affiliated to Southwest University, and have conducted the pilot work on offline teaching of CAP（http://www.csecap.com/Authorize_HighSchool.aspx）. Tsinghua University also announced on the meeting that the MOOCAP Council shall be established. Our school will continue to explore the MOOCAP teaching mode with a combination of online and offline courses on the basis of the original AP courses system and CAP courses practice.

On the meeting held in the morning of Dec. 12th, 2015, Yu Shijie, Director of Enrollment Office of Tsinghua University, explained 2015 enrollment work of Tsinghua University in detail to the principals and also introduced the construction of MOOCAP, inviting much more high schools to join the MOOCAP council so that joint efforts can be made to promote fair education and enhance the connection between basic education and higher education.
During the meeting on Dec. 11th, the attended principals have been organized to visit the “Chuang Plus” Innovation Service Platform located in Tsinghua Science Park.
