The Celebration of the 32nd Teachers’ Day and the Commendation for Excellent Teachers of NWNU held in Our School

On the afternoon of Sept. 9, the Conference Center of our school witnessed the celebration of the 32nd Teacher’s Day and the commendation for excellent teachers and educational workers of NWNU as well as advanced middle age and young teachers and excellent children of teaching staff of the High School Attached to NWNU. Jia Jinyuan, Principal of our school, Wang Wenhuai, Secretary of the Party committee and Vice Principal, Liu Guocai, Deputy Secretary of the Party committee, Gou Xiaofeng, Vice Principal, and Jing Xiaomin, Vice Principal, the faculty and representatives of their children attended the meeting presided by Gou Xiaofeng.
During the meeting, Wang Wenhuai read out Resolution of NWNU on the Commendation of Excellent Teachers and Educational Workers of Its Attached Schools. Jing Xiaomin read out Resolution on the Commendation of the Advanced Teachers in the Fifth Contest of Young Teachers’ Teaching Ability and Resolution on the Commendation of the Faculty’s Children with Outstanding Learning Achievement. Leaders of our school delivered the awards to the excellent teachers and the faculty’s children.
On behalf f the school, Liu Guocai read out a letter expressing wishes for a happy Teacher’s Day. He also indicated the following points. First, the High School Attached to NWNU has faced both encouraging situations and challenges during its development; second, with the deepening of reform in educational area, the College Entrance Examination system and the new-round curriculum, the High School Attached to NWNU has been in its critical moment of development. As a result, he expressed his hope that every teacher could attach great importance to the development of the High School Attached to NWNU, keep the tradition of “diligence, prudence, honesty and bravery”, enhance the sense of responsibility to educate students and set good examples, forge ahead with vigor and will, pass on knowledge and wisdom to students and exert positive moral and impact on students. All these will lay solid foundation to the development of the students and a better future for the High School Attached to NWNU.
At last, Jia Jinyuan stressed in his speech that education is the most sublime undertaking of the mankind, teacher is a common and glorious vocation, teaching is ordinary and great work. Teachers are often compared to candles, silkworms, ladders and gardeners. No other kind of job can exert more impact than teachers on people; no other kind of job but teachers can touch the heart of human being; no other kind of job can have more profound impact on human being than teachers do. If you choose to be a teacher, you choose dedication and giving; if you choose to be a teacher in the High School Attached to NWNU, you choose to dedicate and give more to students. Principal Jia hoped that the staff of the High School Attached to NWNU could work hard and forge valiantly ahead to create a better future for the High School Attached to NWNU.
