There is a famous poem in China saying that it’s a grand glory for the family to have received the letter of admission after years of hard working. As the new term began, good news about the admissions of the students from the High School Attached to NWNU to overseas universities kept pouring in. Xu Aowen from the International Class of Senior Three was admitted to the Washington University in St. Louis (ranking as the 18th US comprehensive university). Wang Wuxiong and Chen Runchu were admitted to the Emory University (ranking as the 21st US comprehensive university) and Li Jing to the McGill University (ranking the first according to the Medical Doctoral Universities in Canada)
Moreover, according to incomplete statistics,more than 20 students from the International Class of Senior Three have been admitted by US top 60 universities, such as the Ross－Hulman Institute of Technology(ranking Top 1 in engineering of US non－research universities for undergraduates), University of Florida(ranking as the 35th US comprehensive university), Bucknell University(ranking as the 36th as for US Liberal Arts Colleges), University of Illinois at Urbana－Champaign(ranking as the 46th US comprehensive university), University of Wisconsin－Madison(ranking as the 49th US comprehensive university), University of Texas at Austin(ranking as the 35th US comprehensive university), Ohio State University at Columbus(ranking as the 56th US comprehensive university), Purdu University, West Lafayette(ranking as the 56th US comprehensive university) and The Pennsylvania State University, Park(ranking as the 59th US comprehensive university).Three students were admitted to top UK universities such as The university of Edinburgh(ranking as the 5th UK university) and King’s College London(ranking as the 6th UK university).Seven students were admitted to top Canadian universities, such as University of Toronto(ranking the first according to the Medical Doctoral Universities in Canada),Western University(ranking 8th according to the Medical Doctoral Universities in Canada) and other universities. Four students were admitted to top Australian universities such as the University of Melbourne (ranking Top 1 in Australia universities), the Australian National University(ranking Top 5 in Australian universities)and so on.
It’s worth mentioning that these outstanding students with distinct personalities have impressed greatly the admission officers of the world’s top universities with the spirit of exploring knowledge and colorful experiences. Since 2011 when students from the first International Class of the high school graduated,six students have been admitted to Emory University and eight students to McGill University.
